Thai Yoga Bodywork is an ancient practice, rooted in Thailand, in which the participant is given a whole-body treatment through assisted stretches and yoga postures, using a combination of pressing and pulling with the practitioner's thumbs, fingers, palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet, to open energy channels, relax the mind and body, ease pain, reduce stress and tension, and aid in flexibility and overall wellness. The participant lies on a comfortable floor mat, fully clothed, while the practitioner works on them. The practice is completely passive, and requires little to no effort by the participant, minus prompted breathing, and guiding the practitioner with their requests of less/more pressure, and/or needed adjustments. Expect to feel renewed, refreshed, energized, and calmer after your session, with the added benefit of improved posture and frequently less pain and/or discomfort within the body.
